WHAT IS LUMINOUS INK & WHERE DO YOU GET IT? INK FARMING GUIDE
Greetings and welcome back, today i’ll show you how to get luminous ink which is needed to create new skills with the scribing system. First off, what is luminous ink? Luminous ink is a new resource or currency that was introduced with the gold road chapter. it allows you to create new skills with the new scribing system. there are 2 main ways of getting ink. Number 1 is gathering resources and number 2 is killing bosses and other npcs. These 2 methods need to be unlocked first though, by completing the associated quests The Wing of the Indrik and The Wing of the Netch. After completion of these quests you have a small chance to get ink from killing all kinds of bosses you can find in the world. also any other enemy npc that can drop loot. Ink will also drop from all kinds of resources you can gather. Remember to slot the Master Gatherer and Plentiful Harvest Champion Points to get the most out of your farming!
The best place to gather ink in my opinion is craglorn, because especially the areas around the dragonstar wayshrine and the lake near shada’s tear wayshrine have plenty of densely packed resource nodes. gathering in the craglorn zone also comes with a chance to get fortified and potent nirncrux, which are nice to have and also sell for quite a bit of money on the market. And because of that i think your time is best spent in craglorn over any other zone, since even if you don’t get ink, you can still profit off of the nirncrux drops. Make sure to also check backpacks and urns as these technically count as a resource node and will also have a chance of containing luminous ink.
Also keep in mind that luminous ink is not account bound and can be sold and bought on the market.
